I have broken the thesis down into little sections/blocks so that I can work on them induvidually
And have also started to write an introduction
So I have recently came up with the new way of how I want to organise the app
Let me explain
1- opening page of the app
2 in the menu you have two sections “map” and “found items”
3 in the map section is *surprise* à map where different architectural monuments are marked like on a treasure map. You will have the adress and a picture(maybe) so you can get to the place. Once you have arrived you will click on the marked location
4 the app will check your geolocation, to check weather you have actually arrived at said place
5 the app will ask you to position the 3d model on top of the existing building
6 TADA the model is positioned over the existing building
7 you can click on various elements of the building to see them closer
8 the filter with a certain artist’s style (maybe this will also give you access to an Instagram filter of the same style)
At first I was thinking of playing with shaders in order to create a artist inspired version of the building. But then I thought that maybe it would make much more sense to actually draw it in VR and then export it.
My thinking was that I could bring a 3D model of the building into tilt brush, and using it as a sort of outline paint on top of it.
So I have been researching what is and what is not possible to export from tilt brush, since poly is being closed
I have also started thinking that potentially using something like gravity sketch for the technical drawing part would make sense (but I am really not sure I would have time for it)
So as I started playing with the ideas of how to organise the user journey I realised that I may need a few potential AR triggers
First one I would like to try will be a geolocation one. I really like how this particular one works

(though it is 79$)
The next function I would want to implement will be placing the object. And Allowing user to place it themselves
